The Harbinger

Last Sunday, we had a guest speaker at church.

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, the author of  The Harbinger gave a pretty strong summary of what he has written in his first and best selling book. It is based on the the Harbinger verse: Isaiah 9:10 (NIV)

“The bricks have fallen down,
    but we will rebuild with dressed stone;
the fig trees have been felled,
but we will replace them with cedars.”

He has connected the 9/11 attacks on American soil to the destruction of Ancient Israel. It happened on Shmita, the Sabbath Year.

He also linked the stock market crash of 2008 similarly to be a warning to America. This too happened on Shmita.

Though I have not read the book yet, I have put a hold in our local library. I hope to read and understand this prophetic message.

Confess: Jesus is Your Lord

My son came after his AWANA yesterday and shared this verse with us.

Romans 10:9 (NIV)

That you will confess with your mouth, “Jesus is the Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

It felt really humbling to hear it from your kid.

Keep saying  Jesus is Your Lord and you are saved by His blood.

God Bless !!

Jesus, my father, I understand that You died for me and have redeemed me of my sins. Thank you for Your sacrifice so that I may be free. AMEN!!

The week after Easter

I wanted to share the sermon I heard yesterday at church. It felt applicable to this season of our life.

Please read Luke 24:13-24

Jesus’s disciples were afraid and discouraged  after Jesus’s death. They wanted to believe in Jesus, that he was the hope for Israel, the promised Messiah. But after Jesus was crucified, the disciples were leaderless and didn’t know what would their next step be. Whether they would be hunted and put to death like Jesus or whether they would be stoned to death. They were confused, afraid and disillusioned.

Many times in our lives due to some tragic event or hurtful words, would make us feel what the disciples felt. The fear of  being ridiculed, hurt or even the fear of not knowing what would be the future would always leave us confused and afraid.

Jesus said (John 14:27  NIV)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Allow Jesus restore your confidence and give you a mission and mandate to go ahead with life.

God Bless !!
